It was a great event to behold as the people of Nkpologwu Progressive Union (NPU), Abuja Branch, had a serve-yourself meals of all kinds, different drinks and wines to down the tasty meals and yummy meats of all types.

The event was also very colorful with the people of Nkpologwu Progressive Union (NPU) dressed to a tasteful fashion to match the glamorous and beautiful environ of Amor Hotel, Abuja.

Nze Chidi Duru, apart from hosting the people of Nkpologwu Progressive Union (NPU), Abuja Branch, to a colorful and fulfilled poolside end of the year party, also made six promises to the association:

1. Donation of the sum of ₦2,500,000 to Nkpologwu Progressive Union (NPU), Abuja Branch, for the building of Plaza.
2. Yearly donation of the sum of ₦1,000,000 to Nkpologwu Progressive Union (NPU), Abuja Branch, for ten (10) years.
3. Award of scholarships to students from Nkpologwu Progressive Union (NPU), Abuja Branch, to assist the intelligent financially-underprivileged ones receive education.
4. Amor Hotel, Abuja facility will now be used for Nkpologwu Progressive Union (NPU), Abuja Branch, meetings.
5. Festive season gift-donation of twenty-five (25) pieces of 25 KG bags of rice to Nkpologwu Progressive Union (NPU), Abuja Branch.
6. Donation of the sum of ₦500,000 to the Women Wing of Nkpologwu Progressive Union (NPU), Abuja Branch.

Nze Chidi Duru, OON, being a man of his words, without wasting any time, has fulfilled each of the six promises and undertakings made to the people of Nkpologwu Progressive Union (NPU), Abuja Branch. The big question is – “who wouldn’t be proud to have Nze Chidi Duru, OON, as a kinsman, friend or mentor?”

On the 24th of December, 2025, Nze Chidi Duru, OON, through his humanitarian foundation, Nze Chidi Duru Foundation (NCDF), gives a grant of Two million, Four hundred thousand Naira (N2,400,000) to some youths of Ogwugwuala kindred to support their businesses.

The people of Ogwugwuala kindred will forever remember 24th of December, 2025, as a day to be reckoned with, not only in Ogwugwuala, but also in Nkpologwu as a whole. All thanks to the humanitarian services of one of their illustrious sons of the land, Nze Chidi Duru, OON.

Ogwugwunezi village comprises seven kindred, and Ogwugwuala is one of the seven kindreds that make up Ogwugwunezi village. Nze Chidi Duru is from Ogwugwuala kindred in Ogwugwunezi village of Nkpologwu town in Anambra State. The people of Ogwugwuala for this reason received additional Christmas gift of a very big cow added to the gift of bags of rice brought to their various homes on Christmas eve.

The people of Ogwugwuala kindred in particular, and Nkpologwu in general can boldly say that while they have heard and watched on television the humanitarian Christmas gesture of the European Santa Claus, they have now also had the same experience in the humanitarian yuletide kind gesture of their own African Santa Claus in one of the sons of their land, Nze Chidi Duru, OON.

The people of the four villages of Nkpologwu – Isioji village, Ogwugwunezi village, Obinabo village, and Umuonyia village – woke up on the 24th of December, 2025, to see people from Nze Chidi Duru Foundation (NCDF) bringing gift of bags of rice to them in their very homes in manner like the European Santa Claus who takes gifts to people in their homes for Christmas. This is something that has never been seen happening in Nkpologwu before, where gift of bag of rice is brought to each person in his or her home on Christmas eve. It was all praise, joy and prayers for Nze Chidi Duru by the people of Nkpologwu, Anambra State.
